The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy, with support from The Air Force Facility Energy Center, will conduct an Air Force Energy Symposium on June 28 and 29, 2011. Other Air Force Industry Day events have proven to be a very effective venue for sharing information and ideas to strengthen the partnership with industry and contractors. We hope to continue that success with activities reflecting the strategic renewable energy focus area of the Air Force Civil Engineer Community.
Air Force presentations will provide a broad overview of the entire Air Force facility energy program and address the challenge of increasing renewable power use for facilities and installations. The use of Public Private Ventures through Power Purchase Agreements and Enhanced Use Lease arrangements will be outlined as major components of the Air Force implementation plan. Proposed renewable procurements for the next two years will be outlined. Industry input and perspectives on recent procurements will also be provided for information and procurement improvement purposes.
The symposium will be held at the Loews Ventana Canyon, 7000 North Resort Drive, in Tucson. You may click the “Hotel Reservations” link to the left to be connected to the hotel website to make your reservations.
The Loews Ventana Canyon has reserved a block of rooms for the Symposium at a rate of $77/night.
Rooms must be reserved by June 10, 2011 in order to get the group rate!
